Born in Southern Missouri, raised in Southern California, lived my adult life in Southern Missouri, Southern Illinois, Texas, and Alabama, I am a Southerner through and through. I raised my children in the country. We worked hard, and we played hard. My children are now raising their children - and they're quite good at it!

Karla! I'm amazed by the wonderful bible pages and photos that you have for these Sheltons..I doubt my VA Shelton family connects to these ( Josiah Shelton m Elizabeth - Josiah Shelton Jr m. Fathey Ford, Halifax Co VA circa 1798.).
My g-grandfather Charles Madison "Maddy" Shelton of Patrick Co Va appeared to be American Indian, but I have not been able to document it.
Thank you for sharing this compilation of wonderful genealogy. It is truly fascinating!
